Thinking about buying a new construction property or buying in a newly built community? Buying a home can be tricky but buying a new home can be even more tricky.
Not only is there tons of paperwork, inspections, contingencies, clauses, appraisals, deadlines, addendums and other documents. You also have to coordinate with the lender, the builder, the sales rep, the inspectors, the appraisers, the title company and still go to work everyday and deal with kids when you get home.
For most people their home is the largest purchase they will make in their lifetime. It’s not something that you want to make a mistake on because you signed a document that you shouldn’t have signed. It’s best to have someone represent you.
The sales associate that you meet the first day represents the builders NOT you. Meaning, they aren’t going to fight for your best interests. It’s always good to have a friend in the business who can go with you and make the process easier. Also, you don’t pay anything if you hire your own realtor, they do!
